This failure of the
cartoning machine occurred very suddenly and was a sudden failure. As a result, the
cartoning machine could not run and production was forced to stop. According to the description of the on-site operator, only a click of the equipment was heard and the equipment stopped running. An alarm message appears on the operation panel, and the operator presses the alarm elimination key, and the alarm cannot be eliminated. After the maintenance personnel arrived at the scene, they first took a manual roulette wheel to try to check the resistance of the equipment. However, they were unable to rotate, which showed that the equipment was completely stuck. Finally, the investigation found that one of the box-taking arm transmission gears on the drum was stuck, causing the cartoning machine to fail to operate normally. After replacing the gear, the fault was resolved, as shown in the figure:
